Imposter 03:24
Where’s the interest, when’s the next attraction Be the one they seek Keep them laughing, put some coffee out or They’ll stay home next week Are you throwing it all away Throwing it all away Are you throwing it all away Be engaging, entertain the masses Give them everything Don’t convict them, don’t be controversial Sing them all to sleep Say nothing and they’ll leave the light behind Don’t tell them that you’re building it all on a lie Your idol of acclaim won’t satisfy Oh Are you throwing it all away Throwing it all away Are you throwing it all away For what Make them victims, the whole world against them Minimize mistakes Change their focus, sin is unimportant Lead them all astray Say nothing and they’ll leave the light behind Don’t tell them that you’re building it all on a lie Your idol of acclaim won’t satisfy Oh Are you throwing it all away Throwing it all away Are you throwing it all away For what Are you throwing it all away Throwing it all away Are you throwing it all away For what Every single day there’s a new imposter Is there no one who will tell us the truth (We’re fading) All will be lost until sanity can break through (Are you throwing it all) (Are you throwing it all away) (Are you throwing it all) Say nothing at all Say something and all this will come to an end Say nothing at all Say something and all this will come to an end

Sitting here in silence with an unsuspecting crowd Don’t go off script, don’t question it, stop thinking things out loud There’s always someone lying, and it’s always on a screen I switch it off to find the world reflecting everything Are you strong enough Are you strong enough to break Are you strong enough Are you strong enough to break To live a life of comfort, of unending luxury Everything is safe except we’ve lost identity You say I have to listen, oh you’re telling me to care (Are you strong enough to reason, are you strong enough to break) No one wants to say it, who will be the first to take the fall? Take it, sacrifice before they try and make you bend Say it, say it all to get your soul back in the end Wake up, don’t give in to anything that they demand Take it, courage finds you when you take the stand A hundred burning people show up yelling at the door The things I knew were always true don’t make sense anymore Everything inside of me is pushed under the fray Should I give in while washing all my sanity away Oh are you strong enough Are you strong enough to break When will it be long enough How much longer will it take Someone has to say it, give us someone who will take the fall Take it, sacrifice before they try and make you bend Say it, say it all to get your soul back in the end Wake up, don’t give in to anything that they demand Take it, courage finds you when you take the stand Take it, take it Say it, say it Wake up, wake up Take it, courage finds you when you take the stand

Worth It 04:28
Stay safe, just stay close Suppress the voice telling you to grow A normal life, security Tempting all the weakest parts of me I can’t escape this call, so many times I’ve tried A life of comfort and you’re telling me I have to say goodbye I needed saving and you were the sacrifice You never said this would be easy You are the reason I won’t look back at yesterdays Leaving familiar ‘Cause I know that you’re worth it all What will you make, will this succeed? My confidence hides my unbelief You don’t have time, who do you know? I make my plans just to let them go Oh I can’t escape this call, so many times I’ve tried A life of comfort and you’re telling me it’s time to say goodbye You ask for everything, you ask for sacrifice I don’t have much but take my pieces You are the reason I won’t look back at yesterdays Leaving familiar ‘Cause I know that you’re worth All of the desire I have for admiration Every fear I’ll never be enough for them (Oh influence, you’re worth it all Security, you’re worth it all Worldly things, you’re worth it all My suffering, you’re worth it all The plans I make, you’re worth it all The breath I take, you’re worth it all) And all of my dreams I lay down at the will of the King (Influence, you’re worth it all Security, you’re worth it all Worldly things, you’re worth it all My suffering) You are the reason You are the reason You are the reason You are the reason, oh Influence, you’re worth it all Security, you’re worth it all Worldly things, you’re worth it all My suffering, you’re worth it all Influence, you’re worth it all Security, you’re worth it all Worldly things, you’re worth it all My suffering, you’re worth it all

Surrounded by glorious nature All of my worries blind me to the sight And the sun still continues to shine The hummingbird’s always singing Oblivious to the people losing their minds And their wings will continue to fly (Waking, leaving, praying) While the world caves in (Planning, reaching, risking) When it’s safer inside Stop waiting, start living Or there will never be a right time Oh time keeps moving forward Every day, I’ll decide if it leaves me behind Walking out of the shelter into a life Where at least I know I’ve tried I don’t wanna be just existing Will purpose find me and introduce itself? Or will I need to go out and help? Time keeps moving forward Every day, I’ll decide if it leaves me behind Walking out of the shelter into a life Where at least I know I’ve tried When I can’t fall asleep Will you be there to anchor my mind? Will you give me your peace tonight To step out of the shelter into a life Where at least I know I’ve tried

Mother 04:28
The waiting room feels heavy, dark, and slow As she walks in, cold, with dreams that are faded Sitting down in fear of the unknown They’ll take her hand and try to erase her past She tells them that she needs some time alone A quiet room where no one can listen Clutching at her sides, she’s on her own And when it’s safe there, she looks down and whispers “I’m afraid I will regret this And I just wanted you to know Everyone has their thoughts And I’m drowning from the weight of it all I wish there was a simple answer A magic cure, an easy road But this I know I won’t leave you, won’t let you go And we will find a way But I don’t understand how I will do this, will make a home Where we get through the day ‘Cause if I lost you, I’d lose me too” Thank you for the sacrifice you made Not knowing how we’d be able to get through I’ll never understand everything that you gave But I’m older now, here, ready to tell you You didn’t know if you’d regret this And haven’t ever since that day Everyone had their thoughts And you shut them out and walked away You didn’t buy the simple answer You chose to give me everything When you told me “I won’t leave you, won’t let you go And we will find a way But I don’t understand how I will do this, will make a home Where we get through the day The sacrifice is hard but it’s the sacrifice I choose ‘Cause if I lost you, I’d lose me too”

about

This is an EP completely centered around the concept of courage. Each song comes at this concept from a different angle.

“Imposter”, as we’ve talked a lot about, is about cowardice in the church. Pastors who care more about entertaining, pandering, or being liked by their congregation than preaching the gospel.

“Strong Enough to Break” is about having the courage to defend biblical principles that have come under attack by our culture.

“Worth It” is about having the courage to follow the call of the Lord, no matter the cost.

“The Right Time” is about the fact that many of us have idolized our own safety. We shouldn’t be needlessly reckless, but when we are too scared to leave our comfort zone, we can’t be as effective for Christ.

Finally, “Mother” is a song about a woman who makes the courageous decision to keep her child and carry it through pregnancy. We did not at all plan for this song to be released on the day Roe was overturned, but here we are.
